DVM Newsmagazine's preview for October

VET NEWS

Editor’s Note:
Veterinary medicine needs to speak with a unified voice. It was the message that was repeated numerous times from leaders from all over the world during the recent American Veterinary Medical Association meeting in Atlanta. In fact, many of the same trends faced by veterinarians in the United States are surfacing in other countries too–the pet obesity epidemic, the shortage of veterinarians working within agriculture, the threat of zoonotic disease and a growing emphasis on public health, just to name a few. To combat the problems, veterinarians believe this profession needs to work together and speak with a unified, global voice. Talk about a 10,000-foot view of the market? This month, DVM Newsmagazine is planning some special coverage on this subject, and we will ask some of the leaders around the world to share their thoughts. We hope you enjoy the coverage.

And by all means, check out our comprehensive news coverage online every day at www.dvm360.com.
